Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Work, earn, and learn PLUS receive government entitlements of up to $5000 if you are employed full-time.

Your employer can put you through your qualification as an Apprentice or Trainee and NO student co-contribution fees apply if you are under 25
Career Start - supports Queensland job seekers to start their career or move into more skilled roles or full-time employment.
Eligibility Under Career Start, a student may access up to 2 subsidised training places through one of the following options:
-
a qualification in a certificate III under the general training pathway and an apprenticeship/traineeship, noting that if the apprenticeship/traineeship is done first, the student is no longer eligible to access a general training pathway qualification under Career Start
or
-
two apprenticeships/traineeships at either a certificate II or III level, including school-based apprenticeships and traineeships (SATs).
In addition, under Career Start, students may access one subsidised introductory-level skill set.

Career Boost - helps Queenslanders to level-up at work, enabling them to grow and apply their skills to existing or new roles, and support productivity growth and workplace innovation.
Under Career Boost, an eligible individual may access:

one subsidised training place in either a certificate IV, diploma, or advanced diploma qualification under the general training pathway;
or
-
a higher-level apprenticeship/traineeship at certificate IV or above; and
-
up to two subsidised skill sets in priority industries or sectors as part of the program.

CHC30221 Certificate lll in School Based Education Support
Are you a Teacher-aide wanting to gain your qualification? Look no further as this course prepares you for the multi-faceted role of a Teacher-aide supporting teachers and students in the classroom.
This qualification reflects the role of workers who assist teachers and support student learning in a range of classroom settings. They complete general administrative as well as operational tasks to support students with learning under the guidance of a teacher or other educational professional. Work requires use of discretion and judgement within the boundaries of established policies and procedures.
Education support workers work mainly with students in classroom settings in primary or secondary schools, as defined by State/Territory legislation. To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of least 100 hours of work in a classroom environment catering to primary or secondary school students, within at least one school in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours. No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. CHC33021 Certificate lll in Individual Support (Disability)
Are you a Disability Support Worker wanting to gain your qualification? Look no further, this course is the identified qualification for those persons wishing to particiape in the NDIS as a support worker.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. These individuals take responsibility for their own outputs within the scope of their job role and delegation.
Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. CHILDCARE COURSE - CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Are you an Educator wanting to gain your Diploma qualification? Look no further as this course equips you for working as a Lead Educator in a regulated Early Childhood Education and Care setting. (Childcare, Daycare centres, Early learning centres)
This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators.
Early childhood educators work in long day care centres, family day care, pre-schools or kindergartens.
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of least 280 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. HLT33021 Certificate lll in Allied Health Assistance
Are you working in an Allied Health Centre, a place that provides therapy across many areas? https://ahpa.com.au/allied-health-professions/ This course is the entry level qualification into an Allied Health career pathway.
This qualification reflects the role of a new worker wanting to become an Allied Health Assistant and gain entry to the aged care, disability and other health sectors. They may provide assistance, under the delegation and supervision of Allied Health Professionals (AHP).
Supervision may be direct, indirect or remote, according to the individual Allied Health Assistant’s scope of practice and experience.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of clinical placement as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
