Photography and Art

Dianne originally from Toowoomba, has been living in this beautiful part of the State, Cairns,  for many years and whilst she owns her own RTO; (Registered Training Organisation) Cairns Training Academy; Dianne’s love of nature, music and road trips is what led her into photography four years ago. Di, a Nikon girl, bought her first DSLR Nikon D810 in 2017 and had no idea what it really was other than being one of the most challenging things she has taken up. All those settings were like talking double-dutch to her. Having said that she only stayed on auto for the first couple of months and then decided well this isn’t really learning how to use the camera, so it was back to the double-dutch! Birds reflect beauty, character, freedom and spirit to Di so they became her models…..hours, days weeks months of practice, some google research and listening to others was how Di gained the skills to capture birds doing a variety of poses from catching fish to flitting around the beaches and in her garden. Road trips and music festivals proved to be another wonderful opportunity to practice and capture some amazing images. COVID-19 bought Di’s business back to her home where she renovated two double carports into not only an airconditioned training centre but a photography studio with lights and all…and so the story continues. Refer to Facebook to have a peak at the Photo Albums many images including the Yarrabah Community, the latest from up-and-coming models. Contact Dianne directly if you have any photography enquiries or would like to book an appointment to view / purchase art images for your home.
